Bait boats with sonar

If you would like to scan the water column with a boat, you basically have two options. Drag a ball-shaped casting echo sounder behind the boat or have a sonar built right into the boat. While the first option is more affordable, these sonars usually have a weaker range. In the case of the second option, the range is usually sufficient, but you will probably pay extra for the device.
